1) Laugh. Make sure you laugh every day.  Research shows that children laugh approximately 150 times a day and adults only laugh on average 5-15 times per day.

2) Be Thankful.  Every morning when you wake up, think of at least 10 things that you are grateful for.

3) Positive Surroundings.  Surround yourself with positive and happy people.  Negative people and negative energy can affect you in many ways.  It’s important to surround yourself with positive energy in your life.  Listen to uplifting music, read inspirational books, and hang out with positive people.

4) Help Others.  We are so fortunate that we sometimes forget how lucky we are.  If you wake up feeling sad and down, make it your mission to think about someone else and make them happy.  Take them for lunch, a walk, or a movie.

5) Practice Acts of Kindness.  It’s a lot harder to be negative when you’re in the presence of love and kindness.  Let your guard down.  Talk to someone you don’t know straight from your heart.  Compliment them.  Just be you in that beautiful way only you know, and give them the chance to smile and connect with you.

Remember that all of us have full control of our emotions and attitude.  Don’t let negativity bring you down – you can control it!  Life is short so cease the moment.
